Therapy

During therapy, the client and therapist work together to achieve collaboratively set upon goals to treat emotional, behavioral, and relational problems.  The most important aspect of therapy is the development of a therapeutic alliance, which is a trusting relationship that helps facilitate the changes needed to achieve growth.  Therapy can occur individually, with families, or groups.

Areas addressed in therapy include, but are not limited to

• Depression

• Anxiety

• Anger and Impulse Control problems

• Trauma, including Grief and Abuse (physical, sexual, and emotional)

• Adoption challenges 

• Substance Abuse co-occurring with emotional distress

• Parent/Child conflict

• Relationship discord
